Getting to know me better

Hi, I am
"Big" Mike Smith

Having grown up in California I was surrounded by sports and the outdoors. Everything from fishing and camping to  BMX and surfing. It wasn't till my late 20's that I really began to enjoy my photography, and actually put work into it. Its incredible the people I've met, the things and places I've gotten to see and do! Thank God for the new tech in cameras, in particular in the phones, I can grab the moment and not haul 5 to ten pounds of equipment around. Now working on GoPro editing to preserve the living moving experiences of life!

Here are some interesting stories about my experiences

Photography has always felt like hunting, looking for the perfect angle, light, and expression. All to often I found myself looking for the shot, not living in the moment, something I'm working hard to remedy.
